It has been an honor to serve all of you during this past year. The Weather Modification Association is a growing organization that brings together people from a variety of career paths and scientific backgrounds. This includes students, professors, and others from the academic sphere, a number of both long-established corporations and more recent startups, and individuals with an interest in advancing the science and technology used in cloud seeding. The organization continues to develop in terms of its bylaws, membership structure, and community outreach, with a good number of changes taking place in 2025 and 2026. The WMA is international in scope and one of our goals is to grow this international reach to support scientific research and operational programs around the globe. There has also been a renewed focus on communicating complex scientific topics via a variety of different media, in a way that augments the understanding of these issues and supports critical thinking and decision making in the community at large. WMA members are strongly encouraged to present scientific research and developments from the field both at the annual conferences, and in the form of journal articles, as we continue to grow the collection of scientific knowledge in this field of work. This will allow for maximum benefit to the public, with the goal of wisely and carefully stewarding the natural resources we have been given.
